Last summer the kids went to vacation bible school. When I’d pick them up each day, Little Man would tell me about the lesson for the day, while Baby Girl would mostly focus on the fact that they had snacks. (This is still what she mentions first when picking her up at preschool — snacks are important.) One day Little Man told me that the lesson covered The Ten Commandments. I asked if he could name them all, and while he remembered a few, a couple were probably not quite chisel-on-a-stone-tablet worthy (and a couple others should probably be chiseled on a tablet and dropped on some people’s heads).
Which non-biblical commandment is your favorite? Mine would have to be #9.

I think I would like to be on the receiving end of number 10.

#8 my son takes like 5-6 stuffed toys to bed and like 2 blankets lol

That seems tame! LM probably has a dozen babies in his bed now, plus we took a bag full out. He hoards them!

Hard to argue with number 10 for me. Although 9 does strike a chord with me too.

He nailed number 8… give that kid his stuffies 🙂 I, personally like #7 the best.

Lol! He probably has a dozen in his bed, and that’s after taking out a garbage bag full. It’s no wonder he doesn’t sleep well!

They’re all good commandments–I think I like 10 the best.

I love your sons take on the ten commandments and I’m going for 6, 7, and 8, but number 10 is good as well. I love that he’s broken it down to no wrestling or choking – is other forms of bodily contact okay?

That’s adorable. My kids live in utter dread of VBS. Apparently, shy people do not enjoy that sort of thing.

Haha! I can relate — I hated it as a kid.

Coming from Australia I think #6 could teach our government a thing or two. We are having a terrible time with asylum seekers being treated without concern for human rights.

Ugh, that’s awful. That one was inspired by bits and pieces of conversations he heard his dad and I have about Donald Trump. We try to keep political chatter at a minimum around the kiddo, but he picked up on that really quick.

Blergh Trump 😦 What is with these people, right?

I don’t remember Charlton Heston throwing that many parties but it’s been a while since I saw the film.

But at least Jesus got the memo with that water to wine deal 😉

All very good points. 1-7 are heavy, but I love the switch in 8-10: crafty!

I think #2 is perfect, as Little Man likes to remind you that you are married to “Dad”.😉

They might not be able to tell us anything else, but they know what they got for a snack in detail 😀 Thanks, you too!
