Netflix marathons are where it’s at, y’all.
And why on earth am I just now getting into Gilmore Girls? I had watched a few episodes before and liked it, but never watched more for some reason. (I probably defaulted back to The Office.) I picked up on it again after Prison Break started sucking. I’m loving it so far!
What’s one of your life goals right now? If you’re kinda lazy like me and don’t have one, then we can just talk about your Netflix preferences. 😉

Funny you should ask! I just recently posted this status update on my Facebook page:
“I feel like I need to update my life goals to include:
-Find more ways to experience the same kind of delirious, frenzied excitement as “The Next Contestant” on The Price is Right.
-Focus more on learning the art of survival in skinny jeans. (This somehow seems important).
-Find spirit animal. (Insist to everyone that it is a cat, even if it isn’t).”

LOL at the Price of Right thing! I was just talking to my son about how amped up the people get on those shows!

I was in the waiting room at the doctor’s office earlier in the week, and the Price is Right was on. I haven’t watched it since I was a kid, and I had forgotten how unbelievably happy those contestants get! It was almost inspiring!!!

To keep my mental health plan and get rid of depression. Also, I could watch Gilmore Girls. I’ve started the show many times before but always stop, forget all about it and have to start again.

I hope things improve with your depression. I’ve dealt with that many times and wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. ❤

Yes, I imagine that. People who have actually gone through it know how bad it can get. But I’m better now and I will be okay soon!! Thank you Erika!! (Also, your funny posts help with my mood)

I’ll be eager to hear how you like Gilmore Girls when you’re all done. For me, all I can say at this point is… RORY!!!! Sheesh.
My life goal right now is to manage to wake up without a crick in my neck on the left side.

Yep, small goals for right now = a-ok! Umm, I want to get a novel published. That’s the biggie. Also learn German. Maybe move out of NJ, lol. (God hope.)

Do you have any ideas you’re working on for a novel? I’d love to get something published, too, but my focus doesn’t last much beyond short stories.

I actually have a draft written for a scifi novel I wrote that involved Ernest Rutherford (yes, I’m a nerd too). I’ve queried it but no agent yet (sigh)…. I need to write more and do some more drafts; they say first novels are rarely published! I agree that focus is hard – but you can get short stories published! I subscribe to Writers Digest magazine and find it extremely motivating, as is a local creative writing group I belong to.

That’s awesome! Good luck, I hope someone picks it up. I thought about doing a series of connected short stories, and have an outline for them, but have only written two for that set. Maybe one of these days!
